Baby Steps Animation Outline

Baby Steps Animation Outline


Character/Story:
            Create a character of a baby dragon and a storyboard filled out
   Due: August 26th
   Blog: Storyboard and Character drawing
1.     Draw different perspectives of Baby Dragon
2.     Draw out a storyboard

Sketches:
            Draw out quick sketches/frames of the animation following the storyboard
   Due: August 29th
   Blog: Picture of 2-3 frame sketches
1.     Sketch egg cracking/pieces
2.     Sketch part one: Baby Dragon opening eyes/looking up
3.     Sketch part two: Baby Dragon trying to walk
4.     Sketch part three: Baby Dragon discovers a butterfly
5.     Sketch part four: Baby Dragon notices his wings/tries to fly
6.     Sketch part five: Baby Dragon tries to breathe fire/fire out his butt

Re-Drawing/Coloring/Details:
            Go back over the sketches and color the outlines to the correct color, no color fill. Any backgrounds draw them
   Due: September 10th
   Blog: Beginning of re-drawings/outlines. Picture of character in front of background if needed
1.     Re-Draw/Color outlines of sketches
2.     Draw background if there is one

Animation:
            Put all frames of Baby Steps together into After Effects and begin animating
   Due: September 17th
   Blog: Short animation of Baby Dragon opening eyes and trying to walk
1.     Animate part one: Baby Dragon opening eyes/looking up
2.     Animate part two: Baby Dragon trying to walk
3.     Animate part three: Baby Dragon discovers a butterfly
4.     Animate part four: Baby Dragon notices his wings/tries to fly
5.     Animate part five: Baby Dragon tries to breathe fire/fire out his butt


Intro/Credits:
            Create an intro to the animation and credits at the end of the animation, including song used
   Due: September 24th
   Blog: Post intro animation
1.     Sketch out intro animation
2.     Sketch out credit animation
3.     Animate intro idea
4.     Animate credit idea

Final Animation:
            Put together Baby Dragon animation parts and intro/credits together
   Due: September 29th
   Blog: Post another piece of Baby Dragon animation
1.     Take all parts of the animated Baby Dragon and place them together
2.     Add intro animation to beginning of Baby Dragon animations
3.     Add credit animation to ending of Baby Dragon animations

Rendering:
            Render out final/finished animation with song added
   Due: September 30th
   Blog: Post one part of the finished animation
1.     Render final animation
2.     Add song to correct times
3.     Render finished animation

Finished Animation:
            Animation should be completely done and completed
  Due: October 1st
  Blog: Post finished animation
